I really can't believe it's May already. We're so glad for so many reasons. Just to name a few: The pool opens this month. We can play outside just about every day. We can put most of our sweaters away and get out our cute skirts and shorts. We can have our daily tea parties outside with Dollie. Our grill gets used several times a week. We can visit Jimmie Cone at least once a week. Feeding the birds is a daily activity. We have entered the bath every night phase of the year which is directly related to the "we play outside almost every day" point above.
We don't have much to report so we'll let the pictures below speak for themselves. A lot of them are from Easter so I wanted to post them sooner rather than later. More soon on what Miss Faith is up to these days and what summer has in store for us.
Much Love,
The Groves
Our new friend Vivian who came for a picnic with our friends Jen and Evan.
Practicing our gentle petting.
Little Miss Hollywood.
Daddy bought Faith a soccer ball. Uncle Josh would be proud of her early skills.
Tea party with Dollie and bunny. By the way Dollie goes EVERYWHERE with us.
Playing tourists during spring break.
Checking out the big "ele..ent" aka elephant at the Natural History Museum.
Connor and Faith at the museum. They love holding hands.
Against our better judgement, we let them out of the strollers to check out the dinosaurs. Although they were really confused since the dinosaurs are just bones and don't look like Dinosaur Train.
A much needed haircut from our friend Steph.
Cheesing with Dollie.
Eating some of the Easter candy from Grandma Chaney.
2 going on 20 with her sunglasses on top of her head like Mommy.
Always on the move and always smiling.
Concentrating very hard on painting eggs - and her hands.
Look at my hands Mommy. "Painted them!"
Ready for the Easter morning egg hunt.
She found her basket from the Easter Bunny.
Daddy showing her how to put on her new baseball glove.
Posing again with Dollie.
Not the best photo, but notice the one bunny slipper. 90% of the day she is walking around in one slipper. And she's not looking at the camera because if she lifts her head - the bunny ears fall off. :-)
Helping Daddy carve 1 of the 4 hams we needed for Grandma Kehler's Easter dinner for 50!! people.
Ready for the egg hunt with cousins Connor and Katherine.
On a mission for eggs.
Playing football with her cousin DJ.
Ring around the rosie - Faith's new favorite "game" to play over and over and over.
Hanging out with her cousin Adam.
Family Easter photo - Faith was literally running around for 2 hours outside before we took this photo, hence the exhausted, sweaty look. Not our best decision about timing for a photo. ;-)
Two days after Easter, poor Faith got really sick with Roseola and the stomach bug at the same time. She spent the better part of 3 days on this air mattress in our family room watching Frozen and eating pedialyte pops and applesauce. She was so pathetic, but we got tons of snuggles and can't complain about that.
Finally feeling better and taking selfies with Mommy.
A trip to the library to "buy" some books. I've explained borrowing a million times, but she still thinks we get to keep them.
Taste testing apples at the grocery store. She asked to hold it and I turned my back for a second to find her chowing down. She ate almost half of it before we made it to the checkout. Oops!
Enjoying the sunshine.
Road trip to Grandma's for a sleepover.
Drawing in her sketchbook from the Easter Bunny. She is very into drawing these days - especially with a pencil in her very own sketchbook.
Probably her favorite thing to do - RUN!
A rare moment of sitting for a quick "cheese"!
One of our many visits to the famous Jimmie Cone.
And our new favorite thing to do at Jimmie Cone is to sit on the hill and wave to "big trucks" while we eat our ice cream cones.
