March and Easter Round Up

Hi everyone,

It's hard to believe April is almost over, but we're so glad that spring is finally here. Faith and I managed to get the garden and some flowers planted this week. Now to keep the kids from pulling out and trampling all of the plants. I thought I better post some photos from March and Easter before we got too far into spring.

Daniel is officially walking all of the time now except when he's trying to run. And he's still climbing everything in sight. His newly found independence means he has to do everything for himself including walk to the car and climb down the stairs. And don't you dare try to touch his daycare backpack. He has to be the one to carry it by himself. He's very communicative and has the best facial expressions. He loves to point and grunt, but he's even saying a few words like dada and mama. And he knows some sign language too. He can say more, please, thank you, all done, and milk. And he's entered into my least favorite toddler phase: the throw everything phase, which means I'm scrubbing the floors at least 4 times a day. Faith taught him how to "shhhh" with his finger on lips and everything. It's hilarious - especially because neither of them are ever quiet. Some of Daniel's favorite things right now are playing outside (especially in his swing and on the slide), saying hi to doggies, eating bananas, and carrying around any kind of bag or basket. He's so much fun to be around.

Faith is her usual social self. Her new favorite thing to ask people - strangers and friends alike - is "Can I come to your house?" It's hilarious on one hand, but a little scary too. But how do you explain that to an extremely friendly 4 year old? Her new favorite singer is "Madelle" aka Adelle. We also had an interesting encounter with a nun at Trader Joes. When we turned the corner and saw her, Faith shouted "Mommy, there's a ghost!". After I stopped trying to hide my laughter - I explained she was a nun. A few minutes later we saw her again and this time Faith said (quite loudly) "Mommy, there's the dun!" This time I couldn't control my laughter! That story sums up our girl. She lives life at 150% all the time and even though it's exhausting - we love that about her!

Enjoy the photos!
