Hello everyone. Anyone still out there reading this old thing? We are long over due for a catch up blog post. What a summer it's been in both wonderful and not so wonderful ways. As most of you know, Randy broke his leg and ankle on our last night of vacation at Bethany Beach. So since then things have been a little topsy turvy to say the least. But before that really unfortunate incident - we had an amazing summer as a family with tons of great adventures. We've had lots of great pool days, had a week at the beach and visited Dutch Wonderland, the Turkey Hill Experience and The Land of Little Horses in PA. We officially welcomed Daniel into our family in Baltimore court. And watched him start to eat solid foods, learn to sit, crawl, stand and now start to take steps behind a walker. He's also found his voice and can make as much noise as his big sister when he wants to. Speaking of the big sister, Faith has become such a big girl these last few months. Not having daddy able to hold and play with her the way she's used to has been really hard on her (well all of us really), but she has really loved being such a great helper for our family - especially daddy. She'll start a preschool program four days a week at our local elementary school right after Labor Day. She seems really excited - we all are - yet while we know she's ready I think we're all a little nervous too. More on that in future posts for sure.
It's certainly been more of a whirlwind summer than usual, but in some of the best ways! My mom always says you have to just roll with it because neither the good or the bad last forever. And luckily we have an amazing village of family and friends that are always there to help us through those rough times. We are so very blessed in many ways!
And best news we've received all summer came today when we found out that Randy can slowly stop using his crutches and only has 2-3 more weeks in his boot. Just in time for him to get back to school and for us to create and settle into our new school year routines.
And of course it wouldn't be a Grove blog post without a ton of photos (some from the very beginning of the summer...oops!). Enjoy!
Much Love,
The Groves
